How these tops work:  you receive two pieces that then becomes three pieces. When you screw on the cap to the bottle the first time it inserts the dropper top into the neck of the bottle, and when you unscrew the cap the dropper top insert remains behind in the neck of the bottle. The dropper top insert remains securely in place, but for those who want to remove it this can be pulled out if you need to. The screw on cap also comes with a tamper proof ring, so when you put the cap onto the bottle the first time it is security sealed and you can confirm it has not been opened. When the bottle is then opened for the first time the tamper security ring separates. (a good feature for those selling or gifting these)
