Included are 5 reusable cotton pads. These cotton pads can be used multiple times before discarding, but you want to keep the same 'type' of oils on their own pads. For example, if you use it in the daytime with invigorating/stimulating Essential Oils or Blends, then in the evening use it with relaxating Essential Oils or Blends, then you'll want to use different cotton pads, - don't thrown them away, just don't use the two different types of oil on the same cotton pads so there is no crossover of therapeutic properties.
